How time is counted
The clock starts when we arrive and stops when the last item is unloaded. After the first 2 hours you're billed in 5-minute blocks — not rounded up to the half hour.
Travel fee
A single, one-off fee covers the truck's round trip from our depot. It's quoted before you book and never changes on the day.
Fixed price option
Send a video walkthrough or an item list and we'll lock a fixed price for the whole move. Pay upfront and take 5% off.
Payment
Cash and bank transfer are free. Card payments carry a 1.9% surcharge — the processor's fee, passed straight through.

Questions
The things people ask before booking
How much does a move actually cost?
Rates start at $95/hour for one mover with a 4.5 tonne truck and run to $175/hour for two movers with an 8 tonne truck. Most 2-bedroom moves land in the 3–4 hour range and most 3-bedroom moves in the 5–6 hour range, plus a one-off travel fee. Use the calculator above for a range built on your actual move.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. The 4.5 tonne trucks have a 2 hour minimum, and the 6 and 8 tonne trucks a 3 hour minimum. After that first block you're charged in 5-minute increments, so a job that runs 3 hours and 10 minutes is billed as exactly that.
What's included in the hourly rate?
The truck, the crew, moving blankets, trolleys, straps and tie-downs — and a tailgate or ramp lifter for the heavy items. There's no equipment hire charge and no fuel levy. Boxes and packing materials are the only extras, and only if you want us to supply them.
Can I get a fixed price instead of hourly?
Yes. Send through a short video walkthrough of your place, or an itemised list by email, and we'll lock in a fixed price for the whole job. Pay upfront and you get 5% off the fixed quote. If you'd rather not commit, hourly is usually cheaper for straightforward moves.
Are my things insured?
Transit cover is available on every job — mention it when Adam calls to confirm and he'll walk you through what's covered. Separately, we wrap delicate items as standard and use padding on anything with a finish that can mark.
What if there are stairs, or nowhere to park?
Both are common and neither is a problem — they just take longer, which is why the calculator asks. Telling us upfront means the quote you get is the quote you pay. What we can't do is absorb an unexpected three flights of stairs discovered on the morning.
Do you move on weekends?
Yes, seven days, with start slots from 7am through to 4–6pm. There's no weekend surcharge — the rate is the same on a Saturday as it is on a Tuesday. Weekends book out first, so give as much notice as you can.
How do I pay?
Cash or bank transfer on the day, with no surcharge. Card is accepted with a 1.9% surcharge, which is the processing fee passed straight through. Fixed-price jobs can be paid upfront for the 5% discount.
Can you disassemble and reassemble furniture?
Yes — the crew is trained on common household items like bed frames, dining tables and shelving units. Flag it in the quote form so we allow time for it rather than discovering a wall-mounted wardrobe on the day.
